New Lloyds Club current account

Options
Spoke to Lloyds customer services advisor today & asked if they could give any info on the soon to be released LLoyds Club account.
Was told the following:

Would have to be funded with £1500 a month or there would be a fee of £5.

2 Direct debits would have to be set up on the account.

There would be a linked savings account with bonus interest rates for 12 months.

Tiered interest up to £5000.

Special offers on magazine subscriptions & other deals.

I asked the advisor if he could tell me what the interest rates would be & he said that info wasn't available.

All in all i wasn't really overwhelmed with what he told me but lets hope it offers some fab interest rates for account holders.

Can't say I'm overwhelmed either. Wonder when this will be released and what the interest rates will be.

I'll stick with my Nationwide FlexPlus thanks
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

I'd imagine so, unless you already have such an account.

Yes my understanding is that Vantage accounts for new accounts will be withdrawn when club Lloyds starts.
Any existing Vantage accounts will be ok - but for how long?
  • I opened a 2nd Vantage account today before they got rid of them with the introduction of Lloyds Club

Saturday would be a fairly odd day to do any financial product launch
