My energy bill has doubled in 2013

In Jan 2013 someone in my block of flats switched energy provider but my electricity supply was changed. I had not received a bill from npower, nor had I been able to log in to my account to view my bill usage and pay online as I use too. In March 2013 npower informed me that my electricity was switched by mistake and reinstated my account with them. I still couldn’t log in to my account and simply forgot about it and waited for them to resolve the problem themselves and send me a bill.

Finally today I was able to access my account and found a bill for £2184. This was for around 14 months of electricity (average 156pm)



I find it hard to believe the cost is over double what I was paying but I know energy prices have been going up so maybe its right. Can anyone tell me if this seem right or have npower made a mistake? An if so how can I prove it if they say it is correct?
