I didn't say it was common, I said it was possible.0

Making rules because "something is possible" is what has caused schools and children's clubs to be so tied up in red tape and so frightened of parents complaining.0 -

You are exactly right, I was going to go into the school and kick off. I decided to ask opinions before I did this, the general agreement is that this is the wrong thing to do. After calming down and taken these opinions into account I have DECIDED not to go along with my original plan of storming into the school.

Yes, they phoned me asking me to come in with fresh socks. I would have thought they could get some from lost property, but apparently not.
And run the risk of a parent complaining that their 'poor child' had been damaged/infected/embarassed after being forced to wear some other child's clothes? [Winking Smilie]. Not likely.0 -
I wouldn't be happy about it.
As much as I agree the dinner lady probably meant well and I wouldn't complain, the types who blatantly go against policies like that will undoubtedly break other rules when they see fit too. She will know she shouldn't be doing things like that.
Let's hope she doesn't overstep the mark at some point and injure a child.0 -
