    Yes this is what I have been given with by Allieds to cover the extension floor which is concrete. Thanks for clarifying this.

    A big plastic sheet can be used ! In fact this plastic sheet is used throughout the country, and conforms to building regs , the product is known as VISCREEN. ( maybe not spelled right)

    If you lay a solid oak floor which you latex glue to the floor, you don't use a plastic sheet because it wouldn't be stuck to the floor it would be stuck to the plastic sheet. So you use a tarry paint style DPM.

    If you're laying laminate, venered wood, enginered wood or other such not solid wood then the sheet is plastic is the way to go. I was talking about oak planks.
