Hi Gunwharf, I've just had a read through your diary and some of your posts are just laugh out loud funny. Not the one about your boat coming a cropper, obviously, but some of your earliest posts are priceless! :T I started out with over £20k of debt a couple of years ago and have managed to get it down to less than £10k now. Although it's really starting to grate on me that it's taking so long, diaries like yours are what is keeping me going and yours is hugely inspirational. So don't put to sea for too long :)

    Ships Log 25 May

Well it's been a sunny and cloudy day here. Started with Summer this morning, rapidly turning into Winter in the afternoon.

Hope your all having a good week, reducing your debts.Visited the fine Tudor flagship the HMS Mary Rose today that sunk in the Solent, whilst Henry VIII watched aghast from Southsea Beach.

Even in the fifteenth century, the same tawdry amusements were littered across the seafront, and legend has it that Henry consoled himself with a burger and a Coke (diet) whilst the locals had already plundered the waterlogged coffers of the ship, frantically cramming the salvaged gold coins into numerous slot machines in the vein hope of winning a plastic key ring. Not much has changed since.

No suck luck for me as I have been putting my coins into a pot ready to cash up.
