I think I did read some Trick they run with the PAC code if you do not use it in time where they keep the contract rolling.

There is no "trick" involved, that is how PAC numbers work on all networks, if you don't use it the service will continue, asking for a PAC isn't giving notice. Using the PAC acts as termination.

yes I have been given a date as to when the code needs to be used by. Or I will be charged another month (rolling until i use the code).

It doesn't "roll until you use the code", the PAC is only valid for 30 days. If you haven't used it in those 30 days you would have to request another one.

Service will continue until you give 30 day notice or use the PAC to terminate service.

You have twice mentioned about compensation and again in this post you want a couple of months free. It’s highly unlikely anyone will be able to give you the magic password 2 free months.

So your service was poor over 3 months as long as you received a service even 2G they have complied with their obligations. Rude customer services so what just look at the number of complaints that are made against them they just don’t care.

As I said you should have a plan and use this to negotiate a better deal if it’s your intention to stay with them or just move on.

Netwizard pointed our Orange, Tmobile, EE are poor and the historic loyalty rewards are all but dead so expecting anything is foolish.
Sorry if this sounds harsh but people seem to think they can get something for nothing rather than using their experience to haggle a better deal.

so you asked to leave and they let you ?

if youv basically said the service is unacceptable and you would like to cancel because of this they wont bother trying to keep you as its a lost cause. the time they spend quoting you a price they think your gonna reject is money there losing from the next calls.

I know 3 are a nightmare to deal with they will just offer you anything to keep you, orange ee and tmobile atm only seem to chase the customers they think they can easily keep

And it makes no sense as keeping existing customers is cheaper than attracting new customers so why are existing customers treated like muck? You can only conclude that because you need them and there are only 4 providers (EE,02,Voda, 3)that they can treat you like crap.

    Its a bizarre situation.

that's the problem its not hard to get new customers. its a monopoly pretty much and ee offer 4g earlier than most other networks can.

they have you over a barrel. they have set there prices in a way that they think is fair / reasonable. the tariffs now are a lot closer to the actual cost than they used to be due to higher pricing of the free tech they give away with the contract.

atm people are absolutely flocking to ee meaning they have no incentive to try to keep the old customers, ee is the fastest growing network and offers pretty much the best service three etc have to compete with this so are offering people stupid offers on renewal, ee don't have to

    The subscriber numbers suggest otherwise.

EE and Vodafone losing significant customers
o2 and Three gaining significant customers.

It's called customer churn. Plenty more where you came from so why waste £s on trying to make a customer (whom they've already !!!!ed off) stay with them.

Comet (Electrical retailer) had a similar policy (I worked in their Head Office) ... it didn't end well for them.

It's the same with most subscriber services - just look at how hit and miss SKY are.
  • To be honest you're better off without! The unfortunate mechanics of the business mean that long term loyalty is no longer rewarded. I've been with o2 for 14 years since before they even took the name. I won't be renewing with them come December (although I intend to be out before then) and if it comes to that phonecall, they will offer me my PAC and nothing else.

For every one like me who intends to leave contracts behind, there's 2 who want to sign up with them.

would genuinely love to see these figure (genuinely im not being sarcastic)

from a personal experience working in a independent phone shop, lots and lots of people are getting rid of o2/vodafone/three to go to ee,
obviously country wide its different but from what i can see people cant enough of the 4g and as ee is only company to have it in the majority of places its a sellers market.
