To stay on o2 payg or change to contract for 12 months, £16 per month?
Hello
I've received a call from o2 offering me a pay monthly deal of £16 each month for unlimited calls and texts to any network plus landlines and 1GB data. This is a sim only deal as I have an iPhone.
I'm currently payg and top up £15 each month and get unlimited calls and texts to o2 only and 500mb data. I think my average calls is 800 minutes per month.
This pay monthly deal sounds good as its unlimited calls and texts to any network and landlines.
However, almost everyone I ring is on o2 but it sounds tempting to get any network and landlines. I know I'd be in a contract for 12 months and don't know what to do. Any views?

Are you using your credit or it keeps growing?0

I'm using most of my credit really and £6 web bolt on is taken off as well leaving me with £9 credit to use, however it's almost used up every month.0

I think u should haggle with o2 for more. say like 2GB Data.
And its upto you if u want to stay PAYG or go Monthly. What happens if you push this button?0 -
Why not consider moving to Tesco - same O2 network behind the scenes, lower pricing, currently you could get 1500min, 5000txt and 2GB for £12.50 (sim only) on 12 month contract.
I've been with them for a couple of years without any problems (just about the only reliable signal I can get where I live).Keep smiling,

Cheers for that Gary, is the minutes and texts to any network as well? Only thing though people ringing me from their o2 mobiles would be charged if they hadn't cross network minutes - suppose I shouldn't worry about them!! lol0

Any

The same with a nano-sim
Quidco £12.50, but it's not very clear.0 -
Just thinking though then friends probably wouldn't text me then if I'm tesco mobile as there free to text me on o2?? Argghhhh!!!0

these days most contracts include 000's of free texts, if your friends are getting additional free texts to other O2 users on top of their allowance it probably means they have loads of unused allowance every month, so sending you texts if you change provider won't end up costing them any more.
Other option might be for you and your friends to switch to using BBM or some other message apps where there are no charges at all no matter how many messages get sent. Then if any of you change network providers it won't make any difference to how you all communicate with each other, and you can all make savings on your mobile bills. Win Win.
Best of luck with you decision.Keep smiling,

I was with o2 for years and never had a phone call from them yet, are you sure it was from o2?
Just moved to Tesco for a better deal and o2 couldn't match it.:j0 -
Yeah it was o2 as he gave me a link then to the offer online ie £16 contract sim only deal, unlimited calls and texts to any network and 1GB data0
