I've had a Final Notice letter from G24 dated 12/3 (Contractual Parking Charge Notice), this is the first notice I've had off them.
The entrance photo clearly shows my car reg. The exit photo does not show the reg at all, but they have added a small photo of the reg plate below the photo of my car. The photo shows a reg plate with a white background (not yellow) or maybe its a black and white photo?
Is it worth writing to them and asking for a clear photo of my vehicle registration plate exiting the car park, or should I just send them the proforma letter that you have in the 'newbies' section.
I had one of these several years ago and I asked them to provide evidence of who the driver was as I did not know. I didn't hear anything back from them.
From reading this forum am I right in assuming the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 now requires me to disclose who the driver was?
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Errr ...... NO !!!!!!!!!!
You need to read the NEWBIE sticky though."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
You are not required to name the driver but if they issued a POFA compliant notice to keeper you could be held liable for the ticket. Read the newbies thread to see why you don't have to pay them anything.0

Thanks for the feedback.
I've read through the Newbie sticky and just to confirm, my course of action is to send to G24 the letter on the sticky that starts:
_____________________________________
Dear {company name of this member of ''PPC World''},
PCN number xxxxxxx
As the registered keeper, I have received your parking invoice which of course, I decline your invitation to pay. I wish to invoke your appeals process, since all liability to your company is denied on the following basis:
_________________________________________________
So the change under POFA is that the keeper can now be held liable for the ticket?0 -
You can send that letter yes, it's very good and written by the expert called Coupon Mad. The last two people I've assisted against G24 used my letter below ( but only once they received the Notice to Keeper ) and the charge was cancelled immediately.
Dear G24,
This is an appeal against the charge issued to the vehicle with the registration XXXXXX, charge reference XXXX.
It is the registered keepers assertion that :
1. The charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
2. That the signage does not conform to the BPA CoP to which G24 has committed.
3. That G24 has no authority to issue charges over the land in question.
As such the charge is rejected. You should now either cancel said charge or provide a POPLA code for the registered keeper to appeal to the independent adjudicator.
Any further correspondence other than confirmation of cancellation or a POPLA code will be considered harassment and could result in legal action being taken against you.
Yours,

I had several of these from G24. I refused to recognise their ability to issue me invoices so we went to PoPLA for all of them. My defense was so intense, along with their inept in chasing me for money whilst a PoPLA verdict was pending, that they dropped all claims before they got stuffed.
Do your homework, read up and cost them money by dragging them to PoPLA.Search my post " PoPLA evidence - What to submit" on what is a good defense for a PoPLA appeal.0 -
I've just tried to appeal online through their website, but it is saying I'm too late to appeal.
The first correspondence I received from them was a 'Final Notice' letter in which they claimed to have sent me a letter in January. This was not received.
I will today send by post the letter as detailed above.
Can they refuse the appeal because it's too late, even though I did not receive the letter they claim to have sent?0 -
They can indeed refuse but if they do then just ignore them. G24 have never done court ( have you G24 :rotfl:- still awaiting my court papers you promised me last week
). "The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
They can try. But if they do, and then actually chase you via court action (very unlikely, and which they would have to do to make you pay) then you'd have evidence of their refusal to use the approved ADR route.

Yep they could do but so what? You are simply in the position that people have been in for many years, ignoring the debt collector junk mail for a year. This is only G24 and some threatograms from Debt Recovery Plus or similar. There's a section in the NEWBIES thread all about your options 'if you think you are too late to appeal' and also a post #4 in the NEWBIES sticky, all about debt collector stage.
This is no biggie. Ignoring G24 and other non-litigious PPCs is still an option, when a person misses out on appeal for whatever reason.
You could email a complaint to the BPA but then a post about complaining like this is also in the NEWBIEs thread, so you'll have seen that already this morning.
And you could of course also complain to the retailer and there's a whole sticky thread of its own about that, in Crabman's top thread 'parking forum stickies'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi everyone,
a quick update.
I sent the letter from the Newbie sticky as you suggested.
Today I received a letter from G24 stating the charge has been waived.
Many thanks for your help.0
