  • I just signed up dual fuel with Extra Energy through the Cheap Energy Club MSE site. Fresh Fixed Price Dec 2015 v3. Should save circa £390 per year.
I used the Cheap Energy Club site's NPower 'recommended status' (with no exit penalties) as reason to switch to an NPower tariff on the 5th of May this year. To date I have not received a bill from them.

I read the meters, got them to provide me with my account number and then re-did the online access that they never bothered to do in the first place. it is now two days since the meter reading was given to them and no new bill generated.

On gaining access to their web site, NPower has a pdf bill for me me on an estimate in late June 2014, less than 2 months in. They have built up £1039 credit which shocks my credulity.
Ill keep this thread posted if I get hiccups from either provider.

Something peculiar happened about 2 weeks ago - a bloke came to read the meter. But no activity on the NPower account screen to recognise the figures he took down. I didn't check as to who he was, like a fool I just let him read the meters.
  • As if by magic I get a call from NPower! How cynical..

WOW. Just checked and can now make manual payments on line. Either by debit or credit card. Very impressed.

Thanks for the heads up Mable.

As my account is showing almost 300 quid in credit (an error on EE's part, should be showing zero) I thought I'd see if I could get it back into my bank account but no joy. Bugg*r!

Only function not working now is the DD one and then once functioning we have hit the jackpot! Christmas has come early this year for us.

Switched to EE on the 28th of April, heard nothing since! Emailed them after 6 months asking for my bill, a month later got an email back saying they will bill me after 6 months! That was 3 weeks ago, not impressed.

I have used the online contact facility for the first time just to see how long it takes to get a response and more importantly to see if the two issues I have raised (both raised before via telephone), will be resolved by using this method of contact.

It's now 21.57 on Sunday 7th December and I'm starting to hold my breath now.
