yes vinegar the cheapest you can find just a few table spoons.
the outside can be due to dirty or worn wiper blades try giving them a wipe with a damp cloth to remove any grit that might be fouling them
Changing the wiper blades can make a big differencejust because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you0 -
Lidl's window cleaner works well.
[although it states not to use it for automotive glass!!]
I'm not certain, but maybe prolonged use has an adverse effect on the glue used to keep windscreens in place?
Or, it might have an adverse effect on rubber?
If used infrequently [as I do] well, I've not had a windscreen fall out because of it.....No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
+1 for vinegar on the outside - it apparently is carried by the RAC to clean grease off wiper blades.
(I carry it as my lot are darn picky about their fish & chips, but the RAC are a handy starting point.)
Inside, neat vinegar again, but on a day when you can leave doors open!0 -
Pour sparkling water over the the windscreen. Let it roll off then wipers. Works very effectively.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Picture the scene. Her Majesty is going through your town in the Rolls to cut a tape somewhere.
The taxpayers have turned out to watch her drive past so they can see what they are getting for their taxes.
But wait! They can't see because the windows of the Rolls are all smeared . Not a problem Autoglym Fast Glass is by appointment to Her Majesty.
Now if it's good enough for Her Maj and her fleet of Limos then it's good enough for you and I.
Personally I don't think she uses it herself, I think she has one of her grandsons do it for her. They have been in the forces and are used to a bit of spit and polish

For the outside:- Nice wet cloth and a good dollop of cheap white toothpaste (net the gel types). Good firm circular strokes - then a good wash off with plenty of clean water.
Not recommended for inside - bit mucky and wet..................0 -

Yeah if you like hard work.
Personally i would use a specific car glass cleaner like Autoglym fast glass and follow up with the Karcher window vacuum to ensure no streaks.0
