Hi there, We have been in our first home for just over a year, so all this energy switching etc is new and not sure if i should switch and to which one would be best. We are currently on e-on with no termination fee. Our gas usage is 5033 kwh a year and our elec is 3162 kwh a year.
Our current plan is as follows:
Standing charge for gas and elec is 0.38325p per day and our unit rates are gas- 4.3575 and elec - 14.5215.
So not sure which one i should switch too? Which is the best one?
1. EDF- Fixed 1 year, standing charge = 0.4515p per day and unit rates are gas 3.721 and elec 13.20 with no termination fee
2. British Gas - Fixed 1 year, standing charge = 0.52017 and unit rates are gas 4.095 and elec 10.815 but with a £60 termination fee
3. Southern Electric - Fixed 1 year, standing charge = 0.29589 and unit rates are gas 4.389 and elec 13.262 with a £50 termination fee
4. N Power- Fixed for two years, standing charge 13.230 and unit rates are gas 4.344 and elec 15.855 with £0 termination fee.
Your help would be really good
Thanks in advance
Paul

Put your annual kWh figures and postcode into any comp site and you will have the answer in one minute. No need to compute unit charges.
Are you sure about your gas usage? For a property with gas CH and DHW, your usage is about a third of the average.
For the two year fix you will obviously pay a premium, only you can decide if the premium is worth it.No free lunch, and no free laptop
