I think what you do is bloody amazing. Cut yourself some slack hun. You aren't letting anybody down.
Secondly you do have the confidence to sort this out. You just need easing out of your shell and thats what we are here for. You've taken the first step by posting on here. :T
Have a read of this thread if you have the time. It's pretty long but it's amazingly inspirational. It demonstrates what can be achieved if you believe in yourself.
Good luck and don't forgot we are here whenever you need us. :beer:0 -

Hi ya,
I am on a DMP with the CCS and have been since april 2005.i also use the internet because i dont have family nearby and the CCS included this in my plan as a necessary cost so dont worry this can be include if you explain why its so important. Make sure you give them realistic figures of the amount you need to live on by including everything i.e food , petrol, dentist fees, internet, leisure money (you are still entitled to live a little),hairdressers fees, glassess if you wear them etc.
My debts were £20,400.00 when i started and with my monthly payments it is now down to £14,000.
Also this week that has reduced to £12,000 as i have just received my bank charges back-yippee.
So make sure you call the CCCS it will lift a whole weight off your shoulders and the best bit is they dont judge you. Yes your credit card will have to go but the feeling of taking control and livivng within your means is lovely. I have never regretted taking that positive step in sorting my life out.
Good luck (tho you wont need it) and let us know how you get on0 -
Hi Pinkladymel, hope your feeling better this morning.
I can't offer you much advice regarding money but I just wanted to send you big hugs and hope all goes well with CCCS today.
Let us all know how you get on x0 -
Hi there, I hope you managed to sleep better last night knowing that you have made a start to sorting things out!
Good luck today with CCCS. I don't have a DMP with them but they are still happy to talk to me when I am trying to sort things out - very useful people.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi pinkladymel
I'm afraid I do not have any advice to offer, just sending you a hug and saying "hang on in there - you can do this"

xxThank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
I have always loved this site and at times I am sure with all the bargains and my compulsive spending I have spent more then saved
but I have never seen people anywhere on any site be like you lot have in paticularly on this section on the board. The fact that you took time out to post to me has made a big difference in my life and sometimes the answers may be right there and simple but you need someone else to kick you up the backside and guide you for you to see them.
Going to phone cccs today if I get a spare two minutes lol and I will let you all know what they say and what will happen to me
thank you so much xxxx:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

Morning! The great thing about DFW is that we all understand & want to help each other get out of varying degrees of debt!! It's unique and a very special place and over the last couple of years has really been my saving grace. Hope the CCCS call goes wel & hope you dont have to wait too long for your "long" phone call. Re the internet that would be the LAST thing to to go for me, as is my cable TV. With very little social life both are my entertainment and while knowing what others think of these decisions they are mine to make, just as yours are yours so you just do what you think is right for you. You are doing so well and good to hear that you get a hot date with your OH regularly, very importnt. What is your family support like? Is there anyone you would be in a position to help ou financially? Just a thought...Anyway, keep us updated & big hugs!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
