Quidco + Dialaphone possible with O2 Port?
Hi,
I have looked but I cannot find the answer to this.
I am looking at one of the 02 200 mins 250 texts on Dialaphone £7.50 pm for a 12 month contract. However with Quidco you can get a £60 cashback, taking the price for a year to £30 or £2.50 a month (which with a Samsung E900 or Motorola K1 thrown in is not bad).
I know you can get cheaper deals elsewhere but I'm sick of the problems with the CPW group, and others are higher risk.
However I want to port a number, and for 02, you have to phone up Dialaphone first. Quidco says that for " For genuine tracked transactions completed wholly online" so does that mean no 02 porting and quidco?
Has anyone managed this?
Thanks, Ed.

I'm just about to try the same thing within the next week or so. I got as far as clicking through and placing order then tried to ring up and deal with the port issue. However, Dialaphone had to cancel the order and do it again over the phone if I wanted to port. Currently waiting for my PAC and was then basically going to plead my case for the £60 over the phone, which I think may work...0

You wouldn't believe the problems I had in getting O2 to port an existing number after buying a new phone & SIM from Dialaphone.
I think Dialaphone use a "special" O2 service centre that don't normally process porting requests... Which is why 5 months after requesting the port, with O2 refusing to return my (increasingly numerous) calls I had to resort to calling O2 every hour for nearly three days before they agreed to sort the mess out.
It wasn't an experience I would want to repeat...0 -

I like the idea of pleading over the phone, but in this case I don't think it will work. The problem is that they pay quidco and quidco pay you, except they won't pay quidco because it is not a net referral, and therefore they won't pay up.
I tried to look on the website to see if there is a way around but I suspect it is not possible.0
