Prepayment Gas / Electric Meters - Liberty

Hello, My friend has moved into a house and has prepayment (?) meters which i haven't seen before.
The previous tenants didn't leave any 'keys' etc to top-up the meters.
the gas meter says 'property of secure meters (uk) ltd' and Liberty EU6.
Near the Electric meter is a keypad made by liberty and 'property of secure meters assets operators ltd' and save energy. Next to this is a HUB 'Skyline 110'.
On the kitchen was left a 'secure' dual fuel freedom keypad which was plugged into a socket.
Prepayment meters are still needed but who removes these? (im in NW England)
(I have pictures but cant see a way to upload? thanks

Your friend needs a new key/card. If he used an existing one he could be paying someone else's debt. Contact the supplier and register. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Just in case someone is reading this for advise:
I phoned British Gas who told me who the DEEMED supplier is (the supplier the previous occupants were using. (0800 048 0303).
The SMART METERS were installed by UTILITA (0845 450 4357), who specialise in prepayment meters using new wireless technology.
(so 1 gas meter, 1 electric meter, 1 HUB and 1 Unit in kitchen detailing usage etc etc).
Apparently all houses will have these wireless smart meter by 2019 (British Gas Advisor).0 -
A friend has moved into a HA property which had all this gubbins installed. Changed supplier and had it all removed at the earliest opportunity.
If you must have prepay meters, then go for the standard type with key you take to PayPoint.
Energy companies have too much control as it is.0
