If my child wants to go to university and things are the same or similar to now, she'll be going to study in Germany. Free higher education for all, courses are in English, it's a no brainer.

Yes, I would recommend looking into going to university in the European mainland too.

Alternatively, do a degree with the OU so that you can work at the same time, and pay off your courses as you go.

I would definitely advise against getting a student loan wherever possible though. As we all know, private debt companies are a nightmare to deal with!

I've just picked up my mail, and Erudio have sent me a letter saying they have refused my partial settlement offer.

However, they have said that they will consider an increased offer.

So, they are basically saying no to 30%.

Maybe, I should be cheeky, and offer 31%! :rotfl:

I did get a response on my complaint from Erudio regarding crossing out part (e) of the Certificate and Warranty. It's not very helpful:

The DAF was classed as incomplete as you have crossed out part of the terms and conditions. In order for a customer's DAF to be accepted, a customer must agree to the terms and conditions within the application. As such, I'm unable to uphold your complaint.

    There are no words.

Erudio seem to have found their feet this year, and seem to be far more ruthless/agressive when dealing with their hapless customers.

Step 1 remind them of their obligations under the original agreement.

Step 2 complain to the FOS (pointless in my humble opinion)

Step 3 Use the courts to enforce the agreement sans added unfair T&Cs

Has anyone contacted Carvel to complain about Erudio?

After all Carvel Investors are the ones who put up the money and thus responsible for this mess.

I wish I knew about their settlement offer.

Anyway, I may not post much on here, but I will be following to see what happens with your settlement.

    Fingers crossed!
