ERUDIO student loans help

Most of the extra ones on the Erudio list are ones that SLC could have listed but didn't have to as they are covered by the legitimate interest and other DPA exceptions.
Where they arent covered under exceptions they would require consent. Just listing what they may process with consent does not give them that consent.Still rolling rolling rolling......<

All the more reason NEVER to sign anything from Erudio!
Make your own deferment forms.
Remember Eruido has no right to grant deferment.
You show you are under the threshold and you are deferred.
Eruido has no right to accept or reject deferments.
Let them waste paper sending you arrears notices.
If they want the money they have to go to court.0 -
Erudio also try to get you to let them pass data outside the EEA (which is not allowed) in the fair processing notice by signing it.
So be very careful signing anything that lets them no that if you are outside the EEA.0 -
What this shows is that despite the BIS and Arrow/Erudio saying that's there's no real change and loan holders will be treated in the same way, clearly we won't, and by giving consent on their form they will pimp out data any which way they please."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Job Ref ERUD
In November 2013, Erudio Student Loans won the bid to buy the remaining 17% of mortgage-style loans taken out by students between 1990 and 1998. These loans, according to the Student Loans Company, “are a closed portfolio of ageing debts that are becoming harder to collect with time”
Erudio is backed by a consortium including consumer debt management companies CarVal Investors and Arrow Global (one of Europe’s largest providers of debt solutions)
Erudio has invested £11m in acquiring the student loans. There remain around 300,000 borrowers still to repay the debt from more than 15 years ago – it is these that will be targeted by Erudio.
Erudio asked Capita to assist in looking after their customers. We are really proud about our successful partnership and our colleagues at Capita will work hard to make Erudio second to none in terms of debt management in what is a very challenging market place.
The role of Customer Service Advisor will involve providing excellent service by answering inbound calls from existing customers with student loans managed by Erudio. Taking ownership of all customer enquiries and dealing with them in a professional and efficient manner.
The role is telephone based, and you will also be involved in managing cases where customers have requested to defer their student loan payments, ensuring all paper work is present and compliant, chasing where needed and processing.
We also provide an internal accreditation process post recruitment which assists with a full multi skilled approach to the work force.
The role is fully flexible, Monday – Thursday 8am-9pm, Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.

The job description (this is a posting this week too) makes it very clear that Erudio will be "targeting" all 300,000 and not just the defaulted loans!0 -
That is interesting. Did you see this rather curious line: Erudio has invested £11m in acquiring the student loans.
I wonder if that is a misprint, or whether BIS has told a little fib. That could bring a whole new level of pain on the government if someone were to prove such a thing!0 -
