ERUDIO student loans help

I am receiving letters from Erudio asking for repayments even though I am still in deferment from last year having sent the evidence in by letter, fax and email.
Student loans company told me there was a note on the account saying it was deferred and when I rang Erudio today I was told that they had an email reply on the 4th November from student loans saying there was no deferment on this loan.
What should I do ?Any help is appreciated, thanks. (i still have copies of the emails I sent with evidence needed to defer)0 -
Did you receive a confirmation letter from SLC last year that the loans had been successfully defered? They always sent me one.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I don`t think they sent me one. If they did I no longer have it.
They asked me to resend my supporting letter income evidence because they said it was not dated so I resent it and I also sent it by fax and by email and I have copies of the emails I sent as they replied asking me to resend a clearer copy which I did.
I have just spoken to someone on the phone at the complaints department and she said she has just seen the letter I sent in so she is going to investigate what happened with the deferment and if it can be backdated.
I should not have to pay because somebody at the student loans company hasn`t processed this correctly.
As you all know the manner of the erudio agents you speak to is disgusting, they just keep saying we need to move forward with payments on this now.0 -
Interesting new FOI popped up on my rss.
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/mortgage_style_loan_defermentsDear Student Loans Company Limited,
I write regarding mortgage-style student loans (MS loans) made
originally by SLC under the Education (Student Loans) Act 1990 and
Consumer Credit Act 1974, both as amended.
Q1 Can SLC outline their internal procedure for dealing with
deferment applications that are made without using the deferment
application form (DAF)? For clarity, this relates to requests made
by the borrower that include the appropriate evidence (e.g. 3
months payslips) that accord with SLC's requirements, but instead
enclose a covering letter rather than a DAF.
Q2 Can SLC confirm that the answer in Q1 complies with the right of
the borrower to defer in Schedule 2 of the Education (Student Loan)
Regulations 1998 which, inter alia, requires the borrow only to
'show' that their income is below the threshold, without any
reference to a DAF?
Q3 Can SLC confirm if, in the last ten years, any borrowers have
commenced court proceedings against SLC in relation to being
refused deferment of MS loans? If so, how many instances? What was
the outcome of each instance? If the case was settled, could SLC
provide the terms thereof?
Many thanks for your time in considering this request.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Nice one Fermi.
Heres another reply about whether BIS gives a public subsidy to Erudio, Capita or Arrow. They say they dont and that the sale was outright. Thats The Treasury and BIS now that say they dont give public subsidies to these clowns:

Well that is one thing, at least
In other news, I have had a reply to my FOS complaints from an adjudicator. I have rewritten back to her as I don't agree that she has understood the part of my complaint about being forced to sign new t & c s on the DAF. The CRA stuff is as expected - they can't report my 1998 loan, but can on my 1996 and 1997 loans. But then she is telling me I have to fill in the DAF to get deferred - even though it is making me change the t and c for my 1998 loan!
(I have deferred already btw for anyone who doesn't know - I just wrote all over the form, like a crazy person, that I didn't consent to any changes)
I just looked at my student loans files. The file for the past 13 years for SLC is already smaller than my 1 year of Erudio! (And I keep everything!)0 -

Obviously got an adjudicator who is a bit dim. There is no requirement at all to sign Erudio's form to defer. You may have to insist that goes to an actual ombudsman if the adjudicator insists on that ludicrous line.Still rolling rolling rolling......<

I am giving her the benefit of the doubt that she misunderstood and thought that I didn't want to give Erudio all my income information.
It could be me who is dim
We will see what she says. Has anyone else had a reply yet?0 -

I had something similar (last deferral ended 14th Nov but erudio had changed the due date to 15th Aug!) so they granted my deferral as usual but tried to con me out of almost £300 in supposed "arrears" .... I contacted SLC customer services (who still had instant access to all my details) and they said they would deal with it for me through some kind of liaison department .... that was last week ..... now waiting for the outcome.0 -
So at first the SLC said they had nothing to do with these miss-sold loans. Then they admit from freedom of information requests that they defer people with split loans. Now they hold details and have a liaison department!0
