ERUDIO student loans help

I've always printed out the 'view your calculation' page from self assessment online (which sounds like it could be the same thing you are talking about) and its never been an issue with SLC.
My most recent calculation is laid out like this:
Total income received: £30150
minus
Losses: £4,346
Personal Allowance: £94402
Total on which tax is due: £16364
I've always taken that total on which tax is due figure and added back on the personal allowance which this year gives me £25804, below the threshold, but Erudio are claiming the total income figure is the one which should be used.
That's the basis on which they have rejected my DAR, I have put in a complaint about that which they have said will take 8 weeks to respond to. I then received an arrears notice so put in a complaint about that and it took them 2 weeks to even acknowledge they had received the complaint!
Absolute shambles, it would be laughable if it wasn't so serious and causing people so much stress.
Yeah erudios response times are abysmal! They like sending out those arrears letters though! BUT try not to stress out, they are an automated response letter.
However under FCA rules all collection collection activity should be on hold if you are in dispute!
This is like the ATOS balls up on a smaller scale. They have an 18 month backlog to deal with hundreds of thousands of appeals! Which will cost more than the people scamming DLA that the new system was meant to catch! The government will call it a win:-)0 -

Yes, and further more, the whole deal may have agreed in loan notes and not paid for as of yet!0 -

If you look down at the 15.25, you can also see Juliana Francis, senior ombudsman from the Financial Ombudsman Service, who will be speaking at this Collection Debt Sale and Purchase Conference 2014, alongside some real vultures and at this debt collection industry organised and funded event. Here is her section:
Panel: Ensuring legal compliance and best practice due diligence in collections and debt sale- Using the consequence of enforcement action as:
- A negotiating tool
- An alternative to incurring legal expense - Taking advantage of County Court proceedings:
- Benefiting from the paperless Claims Production Centre (CPC) systems - FCA standpoint & legal position on white labelling in collections and recoveries
- Legal trends in debt sale and purchase
- How to protect yourself from price compression in the current market
- Data quality considerations from a compliance perspective
- What is the impact of the continuing fallout of PPI mis-selling for debt buyers?
- Forward flow arrangements.

That's the only SAR I'm aware of. I was going to put one in, but waiting for result of FOS complaint first, as Erudio didn't provide statements for my CCA request. Once that's done, will probably still do a SAR to see what else they have.0 -

And people wonder why the Ombudsman Service is a waste of time. It is because they are not working on your behalf. These Ombudsman (and this is for telecoms/electric etc. as well) are to stop you taking these rouge companies to court and getting CCJ against them.
"Ever get the feeling you've been cheated!"0 -
Poor poor Juliana Francis!
At one time a girl with fire in her belly, Christian attitudes, a girl not interested in the material trappings of life.

Now that may have all changed as the child of a father with ten siblings, ethnic woman advises debt purchases on how to take advantage of county court proceedings, and the use of threatening language to save money and the like.
I suggest we all say a prayer for her. We all sincerely hope she can know and find who she really is again!0 -
Sent off modified deferral form last week and missed a call from them a couple of days later. My current deferral is up this friday 14th Nov.
Paperwork arrived today .... they have accepted my deferral on the modified form...........
BUT ...... have decided that I am still in arrears as they have changed the deferment due date????? so they still want £289.36.
I am 47 now so it seems they have changed it from November to a couple of weeks before my birthday (end of August) so that they can harass me for an extra year ......0 -
They cant change the deferment due date. Your previous deferment runs for the full 12 months whether they like it or not. If your current deferment runs out on 14th Nov that is when it runs out and you cant be in arrears. Complain saying you intend to take them to the FOS.Still rolling rolling rolling......

No worries Rizla .... the first thing I did was complain to the FOS about the loan being sold before I even sent in the def form ....
I am on 3 year def's because I have chronic muscular dystrophy.
I also sent them a postal order for £1 with a request for the original paperwork which has been ignored (bet they cashed the £1 though) ...
I have official paper detailing the proper deferral date .... was talking again to FOS today so I'll let you know how it plays out.0 -

Even if they were legally allowed to do it (which they're not), they'd have to advise you well before the revised deferment end date, to give you the opportunity to defer again... not leave it for 3 months and then claim there are arrears on the account... which is impossible, as you are deferred until 14 November!!
As you're on a 3 year deferral, it's a blatant attempt to harass you for one last deferment before the loans are written off. If you haven't done it already, could you please also let the FCA know what Erudio are up to, as they are meant to be monitoring the complaints they receive - this latest Erudio tactic might be new to them:
