Using this new tablet, trying to access
http://www.isstracker.com/ - via Chrome
I can see site and world map ok but there is NO track of the iss displayed
BUT
using the same site from my Moto G is can see the track as expected and same as on my PC
Any ideas why Samsung cant' show it ?

There is an app on play store iss tracker and others that track the iss, i have iss tracker on my phone (what i thought was iss was a planet)0

I know there are other options to view ISS, but interested to understand why this is not working on this tab (and so what else might not work)
Wireless is working fine ! google maps etc scroll around the world fine
Since this a a 'normal' web site intended for general use dont' think GPS is reqd- works OK on desktop PC where it would have no access to GPS
just tested on Moto G with GPS off and still works fine on there
p.s also on the Tab the black labels indicating lat/long and speed and height don't update and remain centred0 -
Suggest you try a different web browser .0
-
I'll give that a try
but at the moment using same browser (chrome) on both units - one works and other doesn't0 -
Just tried this using Chrome on my N7 and I can view it as it is on the pc.
Oh I forgot to say the tablet is running on Kit Kat.0 -
thanks for confirming ..0

Just tried it on a early Samsung 10.1 Tab (GT-P7510) running 4.0.4) - Works OK on there on chrome !
Must be some setting somewhere on the Tab 3 I've got wrong ?0 -
The Tab3 uses an Intel chip rather than the usual ARM ones that mobiles tend to have. Occasionally you run into an incompatibility; perhaps this is one of them.
Edit: it seems it's only the 10.1" Tab 3 that had an Intel chip, so ignore the above.0 -
re - trying other browsers ( Samsung Tab 3 )
Opera Mini : Shows yellow track lines and circle where IIS should be but bizarrely no IIS graphic
Firefox for Android : Shows site as per desktop PC0
