Can I sell my phone to Carphone Warehouse and pay off contract?

Looking to get a new phone as really, really fed up of the current one. Can I theoretically sell this phone back to them (a working iPhone 5) and with the money pay off the rest of my contract and then take out a new one?

    What network?
How many months left on your contract?

  • Currently I'm on Vodafone, I'm not particularly fussed about what network the new contract would be on as I get pretty good signal where I live on any seemingly

    Nothing to stop you asking.

Vodafone will give you £200.00 for a 16GB in good condition

  • Ah cool thank you. I think Carphone buy phones as I sold my last to them before taking out the current contract for a good price.

Consider Ebay or Gumtree too, you may get a better price than through a company

Or you could just sell the phone privately, use the money to buy a new handset, stick your sim in it and continue with your contract.

Why cancel the old contract, since you will be paying for it anyway? If you need a bigger bundle take out a new contract and keep the first one as well.

I think Phones4U will "buy out" contracts if you have under a certain number of months left.
