Mobileshop.com disgust me

So far I have received my cashbacks from them but in all 2 cases delayed by 1-2 weeks and that too by chasing them up repeately everyday.

Today, I was due to receive my 3rd cashback. I have been told I won't get it until 1 month later or later.

Disgusting.

Add to that, they told me they have customers who have been waiting since April who haven't still been paid and they will be paid first.

To be honest, I feel sorry for these people.

I for one won't tolerate their continous BS about their so called system problems they have been claiming this year. In fact, that was sorted months back, they now have been going on about this backlog for months.

I don't care, I am going to drag these ******* to court and do whatever we can in our powers to demand our money. I have have enough of their BS.

We have better things to worry in life then deal with unneccessary things like this.

Stupid thing is where do they think they are going with this? How can it repeat business with its customers when they are playing such a dirty game?

  • I thinks its well known MobileShop have big financial problems, their sister company B2B Mobiles went into administration in April / May and it's looking like they are just trying to manage their way out of their financial problems as best as they can, which unfortunately means they are delaying cashback payments.

Hopefully they can trade out of it, as they are a great company with good people working for them and it would be a shame if they did go under.

Good luck GTX. I know exactly what you mean and am with you all the way. I took 2 contracts out with them last year before they started all this subterfuge and with both ending in the next month there is no way I will be going back to them.

Best of luck gtz101. I would suggest giving a final letter giving a 14 day deadline for payment of this DEBT and also informing them that they are in breach of contract yet again. Tell them that failure to pay will result in you claiming via the smal claims court and that any payments received after your deadline date will need to include costs involved in recovering this DEBT.
On a positive side, both my husbands and my cashback claims have ALWAYS been paid after chasing things up. We personally chase up straight away, literally after the cashback becomes 1 day late. It shouldn't need to be done, but for the price of a recoreded delivery letter (£1.04), it's a small price to pay for the deal we have received.

    Best of luck again,

when they used to pay you late, did you call them up everyday until they paid up?

We used to go through all that cr4p with emails, live chat etc, but found that the best way was to give a final letter straight away as described.
Remember that it is them who are not trading within the terms of the contract - REMIND THEM.

If they are in breach of contract, can you not threaten to claim for the final owing amount (not just one cashback claim, but all remaining?) assuming there are more than 3 claims in the full term?
    ummm...

Just out of interest, what did you write to them in your letter? Obviously, you would need to be very assertive with them at the same time, not aggressive. (I usually want to go mad when these things happen but I realise it may not help) - how would it be best to write to them?
