Threatened at work by a customer

The officer in the case should be at court, at least sometimes. I'd report it to him/her and/or also mention it to the Defence Barrister or Court Clerk, who should mention it to the Judge and then it's really down to him/her. I'd certainly go for the OIC though.0

If someone I loved told me x raped them, unless something unequivocal proved otherwise I would believe them completely.0 -
Sad situation however the OP is entitled not be harassed by the father let alone approached.
All though I understand his reasoning we don't live in a vigilante society and hopefully he comes to his senses before he is arrested. I'm sure that is the last thing his daughter wants or needs. All that glitters is not gold.0 -

But that doesnt excuse someone being harassed in their line of work.
There are people who make false allegations of rape and sexual assault, there are people who don't, but the father is taking his anger out on entirely the wrong person here.
Im speaking as someone who has worked a similar line of work and been on the receiving end of an attempted sexual assault more than once and once in the workplace.
The OP has done nothing wrong, they dont deserve to be abused and they should be better supported by their employer.0 -
OP, thank you for doing what you do - irrespective of whether you assist victims or defendants. Everyone is entitled to access to justice whatever the nature of the alleged crime.
You are also entitled to a safe working environment and to go about your daily life free from harassment. This is the case whether or not the harassment is related to your work. It is entirely unacceptable for your management to fail to take steps to protect you at work, and it is wholly unacceptable for you to be harassed when going about your daily life.
It is very disappointing that the police have apparently failed to take steps to stop the complainant's father from harassing you.
Others have suggested contacting the Officer in the Case. An alternative is to formally write (you or your line manager) to the police station asking for confirmation of what steps they have taken to prevent further harassment of you as a result of the 5 (?) reports you've made to them.
The reason I'm equivocal about contacting the OIC is that they will be invested in the complainant's side of things, if you like, so may not want to rock the boat. However, they will be in contact with the complainant's family by virtue of the court case so at least have that personal link with them.
A difficult situation for you.0 -

Don't try and put words in my mouth. I was very clearly addressing one post, a post about confusion over how a father would take their daughter's word regardless of whether it has been proved in court.0 -
Thankfully most parents of those who make false accusations aren't as unhinged as you are claiming to be.
Not guilty verdict =\= false accusation. It is very hard to prove false accusation for the same reason it is hard to prove rape. Most parents will side worth their kids when there is doubt.0 -

I wasn't suggesting that a not guilty verdict implies a false accusation, I was pointing out that the poster above is suggesting that he'd kill the accused irrespective of the veracity of his daughter's accusation.
It's hard to see what else "it wouldn't even get to court" can mean.0 -

What a big pile of manure

From what the OP has written here the accused is her customer not the victims father and I am sure that everyone associated with the accused has had some sort of verbal off the victims father. OP all I can advise is get a thick skin. As this is the employment section I would suggest you have a word with your employer see if anything can be done to help you.0
