Threatened at work by a customer

No, it kind of says the father believes his daughter. It is human nature that a parent will believe their child - I expect the accused's parents also believe him. This is why the case will be decided by a neutral jury in receipt of all the facts.0 -

I personally am really glad that people accused of crimes get fair trials, and those with learning difficulties will need more help throught them.
Your work owe you a duty of protection, and I think should formally ban this man from their premises.
This
and there should be a risk assessment done for lone working (just in case) anyway.
But given what has happened thus far you should be receiving proper support.
The father should be supporting his daughter; not throwing his weight around.
You've entitled this thread 'threatened at work by a customer. But HE isn't a customer at all. As far as I can see he has NO business entering your premises.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

You do understand that being accused of something does not automatically make you guilty? Should someone with learning difficulties be thrown to the wolves on the word of another person?
OP, contact your local beat officer, ask them to visit you at work so you can chat about what is going on. Meeting someone face to face will hopefully get some action taken, and possibly have the father issued with a harassment notice. Once that has been done, any further reports should (in theory at least) be treated more seriously.
Would you expect the father not to believe his daughter?
However as said the Police should be who the OP is chasing up.0 -
just to add -
I was under the impression that it's illegal for accused persons to intimidate witnesses. By the same token is it not illegal for the defendant, or his/her family to harrass the defendant and his defence team?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Accused and guilty are very different things, and it is absolutely critical that we support those accused of crimes to make sure that any trial is fair.0

Since the OP is being threatened and harrassed she is a victim of crime.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

While I am no expert on this type of thing I have had the pleasure of serving on jury service at the Bailey some time ago and as my info pack stated if I was approached by anyone connected to any case I sat on I was to report it to a court official asap. I would have thought that having the situation of the OP I would at least inform the court what had been going on and let them choose to act as they see fit.
The law of the land states innocent until proven guilty and be it that the OP has no choice as to what people they can choose to help IMO no one should be taken to task for just doing what they have been told to do

This person has not been found guilty of anything. Plus if he has learning difficulties he may not be able to understand the proceedings.0

Can I just also point out that I have also supported male and female victims of rape and abuse in court. I'm only doing my job. Do you suggest I give up my job?
Thanks for those of you who have been supportive and come up with some good advice.0 -
Have you received aggression management training?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0
