Does POPLA appeal mean you lose discount?

That's why I have said from the start of popla that it's not fit for purpose, my opinion has not changed! The fact is people without the internet or are vulnerable will lose at popla because they don't know what will win. And the only people giving info on popla is the parking company saying you can go there in a small sentence, that will mean nothing to most.
Also popla refuses to publish on their site about what appeal points that can be used, unlike patas who are run by the same people are open and publish all appeal points. Also popla says they are independent, but they are fully owned by the bpa who are trade body there to protect the interests of their members. And the top people at popla are members of the bpa.
Basically it's nepotism of the business kind as they protect each other! They have their uses as they accept gpeol as an appeal point, but for a lot of people it's out of reach. The bpa should be telling their members to provide full details of popla on rejection of an appeal, this should be written by a third party like Martin Cutts and be mandatory with each rejectionWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

And by the way some of the reason I hold popla in such contempt is one of the top men Nick Lester recently got an award from the parking fraternity, this was part of the acceptance speechAccepting the award Lester said: "I would like to accept it on behalf of everyone who has been rubbished by the local media or assaulted by the NoToMob or some of their friends simply for standing up for a good professional approach to managing parking."
So FYI NoToMob is a group of people kinda like us on here but really they deal with local authorities in London. They have never assaulted anyone, and no proof of this has been offered. When challenged on twitter he had this to say@NickLester_LC: I see the NoToMob and friends, carefully hiding behind their anonymity, is incensed that I should have the temerity to criticise them.
So basically goading people, he hasn't had the balls to come back on twitterWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

So, just like the Good Garage Scheme, which runs the same scam. It is run for the benefit of garages, and when I tried to add a bad review on their website it would not let me! This was from a garage where I left the car in with a full tank of petrol, and received it back later in the day with only a quarter of a tank left.0 -
Just as people think the BPA Ltd (to give it its full name) is some sort of official regulator like Ofcom or Ofgem, when in fact it's just a trade association or member's club which doesn't give a damn for the motorist. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
