Protecting against INRs

Under the new rules coming into effect on Ebay in August, my biggest concern is the INR rule. I am a TRS, so as I understand it, would be allowed up to 5 INR cases before my account is in trouble. I have three accounts, one selling collectables, one selling new items and another I have just set up selling ephemera. I assume the 5 cases would be per account and not in total ?
In the past few months, I have received 12 INR claims, although only a few were opened as cases. In all instances, I have refunded, as I have a RM Business Account and don't get proof of postage. However, after August, these would all count, so my question is how do I protect myself ?
All UK items will have to go Hermes tracked or RM Special Delivdery - recorded delivery not being acceptable to Ebay
Overseas items, what do Ebay accept as proof of postage, Airsure or International Signed For ?
The ephemera account frequently has items which sell for 99p, so Special Delivery is out of the question. My thought was whether I could get the volume up so I am assessed every 3 months instead of 12. Does anyone know the value / volume I would need to achieve this ?
Any help / advice would be appreciated.

It is 5 or 5% so a lhigher level seller can afford a lot more INRs (which is at is should be). Ebay have sent out estimates already of your projected status, although they lump all mutuals as a defect and I understand that we will be allowed to opt for a 'buyer wants to cancel' in future which will not be counted. So the estimates are worse case scenario.
It is only cases that are opened that count, so anyone that contacts you direct will not show in the metrics unless you request your FVFs back by way of a cancellation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Recorded is accepted by ebay.
Claims for items that you send via RM account that have no VAT on can be claimed for. (its nothing to do with the vat but our account manager told us its an easy way to remember)
RM just send an invoice with credits on and credit your account
Solution is stop chasing TSR ...Sell more to compensate for loss of discount0 -
I'm not particularly worried about losing my TRS, I am more worried about losing my account completely.
In the 12 years I have been on Ebay, I could count the number of INRs on one hand, but since the lovely Tony appears on every page saying that Ebay guarantee your money back, my INR claims have gone through the roof !You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Sell more, to water the inr's down
Its per selling account. not across all your accounts.0 -

Thinking about it your INR claims do seem high. I am evaluated 3 monthly (although I have no idea what the threshold is and I am a tiny seller) yet I suppose I had 3 or 4 INR s last year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If recorded delivery shows it's been delivered, you win the INR.
You need to keep defects, not just INR below 5%. Sending tracked may not stop INR claims being opened.
Also bear in mind the increased cost of postage may make you uncompetitive and cost you sales - or you cover the cost of tracked yourself, which will eat into your profits.0 -

I have no idea why I suddenly have so many. They are across the collectables account and the new stock. Everything is sent either in a cardboard box with lots of padding, or a grey mailing bag. I have my return address on everything and not one item has come back.
I know it will cost me more to post, but as it stands I have refunded over £300 in the past few months.
I haven't had any SNAD claims, so INR is my real problem. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Just checked my seller dashboard and it says I am now a silver power seller and I have exceeded the £4500 sakes required for the three month rating, so maybe I am now on a 3 month rating. ?You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

If it is new stock, perhaps it's attracting a less scrupulous buyer and may be worth considering if its worth persisting with.
Perhaps look at increasing prices for postage slightly across all your items(especially as p&p stars no longer will affect) and send larger value orders out tracked, or to those members with low feedback, or items that have caused problems in the past.0 -

The good thing is that the new stock is uk only so I can control that by sending everything tracked. Do p& p stars still count or does it start in August ?You're only young once, but you can be immature forever
