I have no idea why I suddenly have so many. They are across the collectables account and the new stock. Everything is sent either in a cardboard box with lots of padding, or a grey mailing bag. I have my return address on everything and not one item has come back.

I know it will cost me more to post, but as it stands I have refunded over £300 in the past few months.

I haven't had any SNAD claims, so INR is my real problem.

Just checked my seller dashboard and it says I am now a silver power seller and I have exceeded the £4500 sakes required for the three month rating, so maybe I am now on a 3 month rating. ?

I have had 4 INR in the past 3 weeks, about as much as over the past year, no idea why so many!
In all instances I have insisted they open a case to try and weed out the scammers... Under the new rules will it be better to avoid cases then?
Like you I have a RM business account so no compensation - frustrating!

Under the new rules, opened cases count against you, even if you refund. I know we should insist that they open cases to highlight serial INR claimants, but I will be very reluctant to do that if it puts my account at risk.

The 3 month evaluation threshold is 400 items I believe (ie 400 items in previous 3 months). HTH.

The INR issue is a biggie, because ultimately if a buyer doesn't recieve a item, then it's down to the failure of the delivery service, which while a seller is responsible for delivery, it's not his fault and beyond his control if the service fails.

Case in point (and I started a thread about it) - I was experiencing very slow delivery to Italy, and items were leaving me immediately then finally arriving with the buyer about 3 weeks later. I had to claims raised against me - the items were finally delivered but they sat in Milan for about 10 days here. I can't 'improve' here, as all I can do is go to my Post Office and pray the items arrive and don't get stuck in a black hole in Milan before moving.

I also had a problem with CollectPlus and I also posted in the CollectPlus thread. Again this was a service failure and outside of my control.

Royal Mail also lost an item recently (tracking stops at my local postage office), so i refunded and claimed. I have a cheque from the Royal Mail, but this loss (it was postal worker theft) again is outside my control.

Under the new system that's 4 defects - but there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

My options are to stop 'free' postage (CollectPlus) and just charge for Royal Mail Special Delivery. In some cases, that service is over 27 pounds. I could also stop posting to Italy, but Italy generally is very good to me.

Any 'improvements' I make will essentially mean I stop offering free postage, and stop posting to Italy. Do Ebay really want me to 'improve' in this way.

The whole thing just seems incredibly poorly thought out.
