    And bikers answer.....
I'll consider it but unless theres a 100% correct answer its close between 2 of you....
    More from Royal MAil -
The amount you'll have to pay is worked out according to which postal service was used. If there are no postal markings on an item to prove which service was used, you will be charged the second class rate. For items that weigh more than 750g, the standard parcel rate will be charged.
If any item was clearly intended to be sent by first class post, it will be handled and charged against the first class rate.
Why do you have to pay an extra administration fee?

Royal Mail says that the handling charge is needed to cover the cost of working out how much the correct postage should be for the item. Royal Mail also charges for the costs of taking the item out of the normal stream of mail, and writing to the addressee to ask for the extra postage. They don't make a profit out of the handling charge.:rotfl:

Righto...then lets turn this into a 'voting' contest and then I'll [STRIKE]'buy' tons of people's votes[/STRIKE] er, ask all my genuine friends and supporters to vote for my original sob story - yes I was the first, the rest of you are just jumping on the bandwagon :p - and as a friendly gesture I will offer everyone who votes for me either a "Cloudy with a Chance la la la" dvd or a Canvas (subject to availability of course!! :rotfl:)

A couple of years ago I got quite excited when I had a similar card stuffed through my door, It was near Christmas and I stood in a queue for nearly an hour in the freezing cold outside the sorting office, thinking back over all the comps I'd entered wondering what the parcel could be, I finally got to the counter, payed the postage and received an envelope, and what was inside?
    a !!!!!!! Christmas card!

A friend had sent the card without a stamp!

For the rest of the day I felt a bit like Ebenezer Scrooge.
