hmm normally it's £1.09 when it's the letter/large letter situation. Did they put the cost of post up yet? If not then maybe it's a parcel of some kind.
I'm going to guess it as some sort of catalogue/booklet that is over weight for the cost of just one stamp. Maybe something to do with clothing or gardening.
