Generally with VOIP you can't receive calls to your mobile number.
However, O2 offer O2 TU Go App
Vodafone offer Vodafone Sure Signal box. I think customers on expensive contracts can get it for free.
Three have released their Home Signal femtocell once, but I don't think that they keep offering it.0 -
I was just going to say the TU Go app for the O2 user. Our local transmitter went down and I only discovered this app on the last day. You need a signal to be able to set it up properly, but once set up all your text messages come in through the app as well as phonecalls if you have wifi so even if you don't have a signal you don't miss anything any more. Very good app.0

SmartCall: The SmartCall app is available to home phone cable customers only with a compatible talk plan. Not for commercial use. You can only register a maximum of two Smartphones per account. Eligible devices apply - see website for details. WiFi connection required. Acceptable use policy applies. Call categories aligned to your talk plan. Inclusive outbound calls only - you cannot make chargeable calls outside of your talk plan. UK call times apply when using SmartCall abroad. SmartCall cannot be used to make calls to the Emergency services (999 and 112). Further legal stuff applies. There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times

VOIP over mobile doesn't work well as the costs can be expensive. Check out the coverage you get on EE, as that's your only hope for an uncomplicated solution!0

I had an EE sim briefly it was no better.
I want to stay with 3 because their feel at home service is very useful for me as I am abroad a lot0 -
O2 TuGo may be useful not only at home but potentially for incoming calls on wifi abroad as well
There are thousands of VoIP companies, and applications are available from some of them as well as generic ones that can have any SIP settings entered (some more than one account at once), so you're spoilt for choice really.
Localphone or the Dellmont VoIP brands (with their MobileVoip app) might be places to start, though you would need to find a separate incoming number to use with the latter.0 -
Viber works for me. And it's free except for data consumption.0
