  • A damp microfibre cloth, damp either with a little spray of water or Mr Sheen (has to be damp as this holds the dust so much better than dry and I'm very allergic to dust!)

  • Dusting? Hmmm, dusting. Yes, I've heard of this before. I use a yellow duster and polish.

My stepmum used to use (boak) my dad'd old white Y-fronts, complete with stained crotch. And polish.

Tell more about home made cleaner.
  • I use anti static dusters (£1 for 20 @ Savers) for dusting the glass TV table, lappie and anything else that's a magnet for dust.
Or ... you can wash a cloth in a little fabric conditioner for the same effect.
    Normal people worry me.
  • A micro fibre feather duster type thing I got from Poundland. Can reach all skirting boards and tops of doors/pictures - awesome.

I have two MF things, a long one (which was bought in the hope of dusting radiators, which it didn't) but it is excellent for high places and the tops of cabinets

but I LOVE my MF glove duster, with little 'fingers' (from Morries) - it has a polishing side for mirrors and does a fantastic job. Brilliant for ornaments too as it wraps round them. Washes well (but the first time it leached bright greeny-yellow dye )

I have a basket full of yellow dusters I rarely use, now!
