On the plus side, though, you might end up with gorgeous eyelashes and thick, glossy head hair? Here's hoping!

Have you been to Moscow before? It's a fascinating city, perhaps if you're on the mend by then you can enjoy it.

Barking! Why did she turn it down?

No chance. My luck does not work that way. I undoubtedly will be like a small bear .

I have never been to Russia..and I would like to visit Moscow and St Petersburg. We will do it under own steam at some time I expect when all is well.

Well, even a half-hearted clean has shown me how slovenly I've been regarding housework recently. Oops.

Poor you. It is good you are feeling better but not so that you had a rough day yesterday. Is that the condition or the meds that made you feel like that?

Was there someone providing food, drinks and tlc or were you home alone?

I didn't need anything but sleep and the animals cared for. Fir was home. RP was here. I slept. Both the condition and meds cause fatigue, often its possible to overcome, yesterday was....blessed that I didn't have to. ( tbh could sleep again now:o) There are times when it could sleep literally weeks on end. Times DH has woken me to take me to the loo, feed me something, make me drink ( cos I'd rarely wake for any of that. I can drink in my sleep though occasionally spill a little while wakes me up and pretty much stagger to the loo barely waking up). Obviously it cannot do that with the animals so I get up and then just doze when its all I can do. But it renders me useless. Its no life either.

Does anyone here have any idea of the cost of installing a three storey lift? That is starting from scratch, forming the lift shaft, all the way through to installing the lift equipment. I'm guessing 100k, but that's just a guess. Does anyone have a better idea?

When I used to travel between Vauxhall and Waterloo I used to pass a decrepit-looking factory called Bennie's Lifts and Elevators. As the building was long and low-rise it looked a bit like something from a Gary Larson Far Side cartoon. I looked it up to find out if it was still in business but it had been taken over by a German company.

I was intrigued to find that Mr Bennie was the same man who designed this invention in 1930 (just in time for the Depression to put the kybosh on it).

If I was a politician I would definitely use the power of kittens and stuff to win and retain power. Have a photo with me and a kitten on the front of the manifesto; huge sums of taxpayers money being used to save cute animals rather than endangered ones; party political broadcasts from Battersea Dogs Home etc; rather than a daily jog have a daily dog walking session (when World Leaders come to visit have them walk some old dear's dog where the owner is too ill to walk the dog themselves). They'd rename Downing Street after me (because if they didn't I'd have them thrown in gaol).

I can't get an image of a Bond villain stroking a cat out of my head now.

For those worried about my diet, this evening I had roast beef with carrots, aubergine, onion, cauli and broccoli. And yorkies and roast spuds of course.

I thought the burns were getting better really fast. Turns out I was taking paracetamol with codeine rather than paracetamol alone.

    Oh well.

I'd be stroking a really cute kitten though, not a fluffy cat.

Nope, you can make it sound as cute as you like; I'm still hearing "mwahahahaha" though ;):D :A

[Auto correct suggested "mean a banana" for "mwahahaha"] :rotfl:

On the positive side, sounds like they were working! Hope you get to the point whet you don't need them again really soon.
