What a horrible feeling and thing to do

Hope it doesn't spoil your sleep or anything like that.

    Yes, I hope so too.

I'm hoping someone felt that they were rescuing them. And that at least they were taken because someone wanted them (and so will look after them) rather than to just dump them somewhere (which, lets face it is most likely).

My mum suggested putting some kind of ties on the hanging baskets. I said I'd rather they were just taken if someone really wants them (they do look quite nice, even if I say so myself ). Better that than getting frustrated/ causing damage etc.

I'm kind of surprised this didn't happen before. Any plants going out the front will be in the ground from now on. At least they won't be quite so easy to remove.

Which super power would the NP choose?

    A quick Google resolves things.

Francis Matthews who played Paul Temple and Captain Scarlet has died.

In addition, Casey Casem who was the voice of Shaggy and presented the internationally syndicated Billboard Top 40 has died.

Generali is alive and wellish. He has a throat infection and feels very tired. I'm starting to get radiation burns on my gums and tongue which is just as much fun as it sounds.

Just watching an old 8 out of 10 cats. Sean Lock talkingof how the internet ruins conversation. We could spend hours debating whether tomatoes are fruit or vegetable, or dreaming up the many ways the drummer from Def Leppard could have losthis arm, but google ruins it for us. He has a point. I am about to google the arm thing, however :o

Sometimes I agree with people even when I know they're wrong, just because they seem sure and happy and it's not important enough to even try to correct them. Then someone googles it and my plan collapses.

Definitely supersonic flight closely followed by the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away with mind bullets.

I think a lot can't get jobs. Lots of jobs at inner city sink schools, no jobs in lovely areas like Devon/Cornwall/Cotswolds and good towns.

One thing I became aware of when I lived in Cornwall was that many teachers want to "retire somewhere lovely", with Cornwall/Devon being hotspots.... and they expect to move there, then get a job teaching..... only to find the place is awash with semi-retired teachers and teachers aged 45+ who all had the same idea.

If you're qualified and setting out then if the jobs aren't where you live/want to live/grew up then you pretty quickly probably give up and "get a job/any other job".

Yep, I know people who have done precisely that. Actually a sizable chunk of the population of the SouthEast would like to retire to the SouthWest.

Feeling vindicated. Rest of family put a ridiculous amount of effort into washing chickens before cooking, involving copious amounts of boiling water, scraping knives and rubber gloves.

Now we have government advice just to cook it well.

Am paranoid about bugs from poultry since working here.

The ability to predict terrible fires, folowed by the ability to intuit a person's sex accurately within ten minutes of meeting them and within the first three guesses (actually I think I may already have that one).

Somehow, I thought it would be something like staring at goats until they keel over... Yaks, goats, all the same to me.

I wouldn't want to be omnipotent, but would like the ability to be able to download information into my brain when needed, like in the Matrix.

Today, I feel like flying a Chinook. Bang, there you go, I have the knowledge.

I'd like the ability to get things done just by thinking about them. Please.

My workmate used to have a motto on the wall of his class saying something along the lines of "The most important virtue a person can get is the ability to do what must be done whether one wants to or not, and yet it is one of the last skills anybody develops". Too right!
