I would have heard that as Ida rather than Eider.
When I was young there was a relative we visited in passing called Ida. One of those relatives that'd always have a gift for children at appropriate times of the year; I remember one gift was a little red/white plastic hand basket ... maybe it contained an easter egg.
Never knew who was who as a kid and since we've been sorting out old photos etc and asking who was who - and other family members doing the tree ... found out the couple's real name/relationship. They're long dead now, probably died 30 years ago.0 -

lir, you know how you think I look like a cartoon character...
in my mind, she the other side of the pond is Maleficent.
NP mode back on...
Sorry
You mean K? I don't know. She's not very bright for a supposed thinker, but...I find most of them aren't they just have bags of self belief and not much self questioning. ( I know , I know girls with broken brains shouldn't throw stones ) . I think she looks a bit like Meryl Streep if she had not taken car of her self iykwim.
The only way I can describe how I think it is ( from both) its not 'personal' its self preservation. I have enough carp of my own tbh without inviting more in. I absolutely to not think its consciously malicious, but io think it could be subconsciously manipulative.
NP on
Thanks Snow White, I feel less paranoid.0 -
That's why I moan, nobody at home to moan to .... no parents either, one living/one not... but the living has no marbles. Two siblings (who don't want to hear it) each 200 miles away. I don't even know anybody in this area/have no friends... and only leave the house to buy cheap bread/beans/milk/chocolate.I live alone so don't have an outlet here .... I'm 200 miles away.
Moan away ... it'll balance out my whining a bit more

Sounds as though they've got everything under control and have looked at your documents thoroughly, which is what you want them to do.
Yes ... but there are still questions to be asked ... and some niggles. And there's one that might be a showstopper in there. It's hard reading all this and deciding all by myself if I'm doing the right thing or not ... especially when there are niggles/showstopper potentials thrown into the mix.
I can live with some of the covenants and breaches and stuff... and even a niggle on the fixtures/fittings paperwork .... but there is a bigger elephant in the room at the moment and I might need to decide how big the elephant is and if it might grow.0 -
This is a lazy post .... as my PM box is full and I've just had a PM and want to reply, but CBA right now to clear out the box to facilitate that.
Re: ""Only if you .... or the ...."
Thanks. Yes, it's annoying isn't it ... it's all "there" ... but most of us aren't there, nor will ever be. If only it were all just online

Re elephants in the room... It's the weekend now and on Sunday it will be 1st June.
If you want to discuss said elephant, maybe the other place, then, would be a good time and place. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Something I heard today that I should chuck into the equation in case anyone can benefit from it.
Young adults who went to university last autumn and are just coming home can claim a refund on 3 months of their TV licence if they've moved back home and do it in time. You can only get a refund on a licence with 3 or more months remaining, so need to get a move on.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Wish I did, as that's pretty much my job.:D If I was him, I'd be worried I was interfering with neighbour's baby monitors!
DG, as we share some taste in movies IIRC, there's a brilliant French film (Trois Couleurs: Rouge) about someone who does overhear everyone else's phone calls. If you've ever got time to kill, it's good stuff! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I'm one of those people that can watch a movie or read a book, know I loved it and still forget everything about it. I owned Three Colours Red on VHS, definitely watched the other two at the time!
I'd like to watch those again, thanks
