I'm a bit worried about The Boy. He's been very distracted at school and not joining in. I think it's a reaction to my cancer.
Sounds like he's a nice boy. It's kind of normal to be distracted under the circumstances... not sure what you can do about it, tbh. He's got a right to be worried.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

The one remaining chook is Nessie, a pekin bantam.
She is tiny a little ball of fluff .
Last night she slept in a nest box in the tack room instead of the eglu as it would be too big on her own, and this morning she was chattering away forlornly.
So I have been ringing round to find single bantam to pair her up with. I have just been an picked up a heinz 57 18 month old bantam with pale gold lacing and feathered legs. £10.
Lets hope they get on and bond. I will get others but today was urgent as I could not bear her being alone.0 -
How do you know he is distracted and withdrawing? Has he said , friends commented or has school said?
Poor little chap, I expect he is worried. Hope you find a way to bring it out into the open.
My DD was 15 when I was urgently ill. She was never an extrovert, and bottled her fears up. Not recommended.
School said.
Mrs Generali isn't doing great but thats a cycle with her. She's on the up curve of a bad time I would say.0 -

No, from 2004-2008 it was televote only i.e. no juries. The combined jury/ televote was introduced in 2009.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Glad you've found one friend for her so quickly. Hope she can start feeling less lonely soon.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Well that is that secured.
Have you a moving in date?
Yes. It all got a bit acrimonious in the end and the estate agent annoyed me by giving my mobile number to the vendors who then kept phoning and texting me rather than responding to the offer we had made through our solicitors.
In the end we agreed on 9th June which still leaves us homeless for three weeks. Have been packing today and just ferried a car load* of boxes to a storage unit.

I see that The Russians are thinking of splitting off their own rival eastern Eurovision song contest like in the Cold War era.
Am I the only person on this thread old enough to remember the 60s and 70s when lots of blokes had Conchita-length hair and beards. Not so much makeup and dresses though. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Is anyone around this PM or is everyone glued to the TV watching a bunch of ArseHulls run around a pitch (I've waited years for that combo to come up in a major match). Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've been attacking the garden again. Then, shock horror, a colleague asked if I fancied going to the pub! (answer: yes, always) So I've had a quick shower and headed out

That's one of my current car criteria - car before had a 1 cubic metre boot capacity, with the usual sloping sides etc.... this one's got a full 3 cubic metres with the seats dropped down - and straight sides and no boot lip.0
