I get things out on the days it's nice and put them away the same day.
I had four chairs, but only 3 cushions - they were cushions a friend was throwing out in 1990 and they were comfy (too big for the chairs but that just made the chairs more comfy). So the cushions were lobbed in the shed in the first house and inside the house at the second house.0 -

So much starts earlier in the evenings. And if events are elsewhere you have to investigate other bus routes that you're not familiar with, then leave early so you don't miss the last bus (which can be quite early in a lot of places).
Having a car also makes life easier as you can go anywhere to collect anything at any time .... or drop things off. e.g. I'll shortly have a lawn. Without a car I'll have to either pay to have grass cuttings taken away (and pre-book it), or walk a round trip of 1.5 miles with my bucket.
I really am NOT arguing, I agree with all of this, but these are choices and wants , not needs. People survive without this luxury.0 -

They do .... but we're told we should be doing more .... making more effort ..... etc etc. It's tough living in a world where everybody around you is managing to do the things we're told we should be doing, iyswim. e.g. "to earn more money, go on a course, improve yourself, learn something yourself".
A life of just going to/from work and existing is fine if everybody's doing it .... but the bugg4hs aren't
So, it then becomes a bit of a mental health issue too as it's demoralising, depressing etc etc to see others thrive when you're struggling to survive - and I don't mean today/this month/this year, but lifelong.
To be honest... without a car I'd not walk my grass cuttings to the tip ... I'd wait until it got dark, then dump it in several hedges along the roadside
I could restrict my experience/life to just a 2 mile radius of the house ..... just not try to use my brain and try to get a job in a chip shop, or something instead.0 -

Storage is a pain. They take up a lot of room.
There is also the pain of suddenly noticing it is raining and the cushions are out and you are in the supermarket.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Still a bit tied up and can't catch you all up yet - Lydia, your DD's tunic will be done by tomorrow evening, though.
This is our still nameless new joy:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Oh, he's gorgeous! And that's a lovely picture of Isaac too.0
