In the morning we will try to find a rescue.
Random big list of rescues of various sorts - scroll to find the county

I don't actually have a clue where you live0 -

We have two.
One into the utility at the back of the garage and the other is our side door which is the main door we use.
Great for keeping a dog one side (in or out) and still being able to have the top open.0 -
You might find a rescue place tonight spirit, to make contact with so they know to expect it on the morning or can collect it if they are nearby for something else.
Where we used to live there were lots of owls. One road was barely used, just a hand ful of us. In the evening I'd often find that the owls would fly by the car . It was the most amazing experience,0 -
Barn Owl Update
We went up to pu tarp over etc and it was laying there, sadly dead.
OH opened the hutch door...and it got up and ran into the "bedroom".
So happy. It is looking promising.0 -
Good luck Barn Owl! We're all rooting (or should that be hooting) for you...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Naughty Spirit. I should have read the last line first.
Today might be a day of 'should have's. I think I might have walked into something I should have been able to avoid (nothing serious, but potentially awkward). I'm sure I'll let you all know when it has all gone pear-shaped. And I will know I could and should have managed to swerve it. Bah.
In other news, I've planted some courgette seeds this evening. V. excited at the thought of a crop of my favourite veg.
Mr. Garage Man came round to fix my garage door cable today. He needs to order a part (the cable mechanism is apparently not like the ones they make nowadays). Made him a cup of tea and we had a nice chat about garage doors in the drizzle.0 -

Have to look at how I walk around, which bits of the floor I use most, then plan the furniture around the natural walkways, bearing in mind the activities/locations I'll be using (TV/PC) and the way the light falls in through the windows (big on one wall, small on another).
There's no rush....
Excellent idea. I was about to start ordering 6' sofas until I got the tape measure out ... :eek:chewmylegoff wrote: »Tried to book an appointment with private consultant - longer waiting list than NHS!
Just catching up. Sorry to hear about this; hope an appointment comes through quickly.neverdespairgirl wrote: »The last general criminal case I did was a possession with intent to supply class A prosecution in 2009, and since then, I've done mostly immigration, some other general public law, and some immigration-related crime, but no general crime (sex / drugs / violence / theft) at all.

Yup - my Dad's old line about how he was going into the Church, but decided money wasn't everything and joined the Criminal Bar instead gets truer every year.
The long trials I did in my dodgy college case in 2012 and 2013 worked out as an absolutely pathetic hourly rate, with ludicrously long, stressful weeks and months of work and a near-2 year delay in getting paid, to boot....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I've replied, but your reply is a safety net option.:)
I've replied (again).
The first time was just guesswork and the second my experience0
