I'd dispute some of them as being "posh" myself...
I got 2/100. "You’re not very posh."0 -
I have once called out Mrs Generali to pick me up. That was because the weather got crazy very suddenly and it wasn't safe to ride a road bike.
My nephew 'suffered' through cycling.
My sister had a call asking she collect his and his brothers bike as he had impaled himself on railings:eek: and was being taken to a hospital. He was about 11 at the time and the railing entered through under his chin and out through his cheek. His older brother lifted him off...the paramedics said that was good as had he still been impaled they would have had the fire brigade cut the railing off as they would not have dared lift him.
Aged 17 he broke his neck in a mountain biking accident. his first concern was that his bike be transported home.
In the Nice Ironman on the cycling stretch through the mountains they had insufficient water. He still managed to complete it though (2.64 miles swim, 111mile bike ride in mountains and a 26 mile marathon. We were surprised as he was no runner, and had only done it to keep a friend company (sadly friend did not complete). Prior to this marathon the furthest he had run in a stretch was 4 miles. Watching him cross the line was one of my life highlights.
Sadly neither he or his brother are with us any more.0 -

I scored 31, but in defence (If I need defence) a lot of that number was wine paraphernalia that OH has acquired through his work.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The whole cancer thing has been getting me down today. I thought the pain from the op was going to be temporary, maybe 6 months or something. I found out yesterday that it's permanent, most of it anyway. It's all a little bit too much today.
...
It turns out I am only human. Gutted.
It's bound to take you time to process all the information and find your way to deal with it. Try to continue to be kind to yourself.lemonjelly wrote: »LIR just want to say that your post on pain is a cracking post!:TPN, your entire posting style has changed. You seem so much more purposeful, happier and less stuck than you have for ages.
Looking forward to hearing all about your new volunteering and new watersport, as well as your new income streams, once you've moved into your own place.
I agree with these two posts :T0 -
I got 43.
You’re pretty posh. You know which cutlery to use at the dinner table, and you wouldn’t dream of letting your guests sleep on the sofa. But you’re still pretty grounded too. You’ve got the best of both worlds. Go you!
I can live with that.0 -
Have silverware ( by which I guess they mean flatware? - joke......pastures, joke.....is it flat ware in America or here. Cutlery? I cannot remember tonight! Very unposh, huh! ) well, partial set. ( actually think ours is plate, but its very funny pattern with sort of nipple tassels on the end, so it makes me laugh wouldn't swap it.
only other thing I have that is silver I think is a small but beautiful silver bowl. Sibling gave it to us, and its treasured by me.
Framed degree? ( um, not actually sure I ever collected mine....certainly wouldn't frame it.... We have a nice pair picture of DH at college and his father at different college down the road which I'd quite like to put up in the study.
Cannot remember the others.0 -

You do realise that you'll need a second shed with a strategy like that:D (says the voice of experience
) :j
