I don't know the names of all my first cousins. There's nearly 40 of them. My kids have got six cousins, haven't times changed. :)

I have none. Neither do my 1.85 children. OH didn't for most of the time we've been together, but now has IVF twin first cousins who are younger than Isaac.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I started a thread on the tv board. I have been given a link for free movies and free documentaries,

How does one know what sites are legal or not.

( and anyone who knows anything about tv systems is welcome to comment on my garbled question )

Your kids have the puppy. :).

I think I know all my first cousins names. The regrettable possibility exists that I do not because of illegitimacy. For non genetic purposes I have a spare set ( sibling's lot). Not actually sure what any of their kids are called ATM. Funny names some of them....

... but there's the priceless "no ferkin agents wanting to do inspections or put the rent up and no random knocks at the door that turns out to be the LLs wanting to come in"

That's the most important bit. Hang onto that idea. :)

Its lovely hearing you guys talking about making places your own :)

I would like to make my place my own but I haven't got energy.
Top tip: If you lay on the sofa all the time and don't move, you're not making a mess that needs clearing up.

That reasoning is predicated on the idea that there's nobody else in the property making mess for you.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

    ....
When you looked up some records for me, I was looking for somebody with the first name "Z" and a middle name; I assumed she'd dropped the first name.

What's happened is my 2nd cousin wrote an email (in words/no chart) to my sister, which was forwarded to me long before I was searching for her, that linked to a family story and gave a clue that it was on my GGM's side .... and looking at it she'd given a new first name. So I think that's it!

It turns out she married, had kids - and one was bombed dead in 1940 in her house at night.... so now I can google for that married name :) From that old email (if correct) I'll know who she married, kids's names, that she was still alive in 1940 and her address (although it was bombed out completely, even to today).

I do wish people would email charts, not huge paragraphs of text that don't set out who is who... but she was telling a story and not emailing to say "this is the chart data for this bunch".

Let me know if you want me to look up those new details, I still have access to the site.

It's yours the minute you get the key, walk in, shut the door and sit down. After that it's just window dressing :)

The feeling of "yours" > stuff. The freedom of coming down the stairs never to be greeted by an envelope containing a S21 or S13 :)

Email's better for those kind of details, if you don't mind?

Exactly, it's yours and your childrens' Lydia. that's the most important bit. You'll get there with the other stuff, it'll wait until you're ready and able to tackle it.
