Good one .... I've never experienced vandalism and the house isn't somewhere that you'd find random vandals.... but a good question to help prise out any unforeseen issues.

    Thanks.
What did you have in mind specifically when you wrote that? Any experience/anecdotes?

No, it's just yet another manifestation of my magnificent mind.

    Animal print.

I forgot we also have a zebra skin, but its a real one. ( very, very old)

Edit: and a cow hide rug.....gift. I'd like to put that on the floor of the cheese room but think it a foolish idea with the dogs.

Something I thought was forgotten about berry soup in the freezer ( lovely thing, berry soup) actually turned out to be char Sui. That's a hell of a miss identification. I can also categorically state we probably don't need pancakes from the Chinese supermarket for a very long time. Inventory reads. 'Bao bing x 36'. ( though cannot remember if proper name for them is actually bao bing).

I have to take my blood pressure through the day. Have to say a spirit style kudos to BOTH NHs and private yeaterday. My GP had stayed on at the end of his list to receive me and run checks, and the consultant who saw me yesterday was seeing me on a day that's not his clinic day. He was possibly one of the nicest people I have ever met, even if I dislike him out of principle because of his job. His initial thoughts before he saw me he decided were wrong within first ten minutes, , and said so and why.

He thinks that the very iatrophobia could be not borne out of soley experience but out of everything that's out of whack . We had a really interesting and 'human' discussion about impact of personality etc on conditions and manifestation and expression and the confusion for diagnosis this could create. Its something that's been touched on with others but he really went into very deeply. His wife is his secretary and he phoned her and said, please make sure lostinrates is put at the end of my list next time too.

I plan to treat myself to another animal print throw; my current one I bought in 2007 from Tesco at a cheap price.... but I always have a hankering to get another .... so, once I've got a house I'll be keeping an eye out for another :)

You could get a human sized version of a cat hammock......they obviously approve!

    You very welcome to it.

I'm surprisingly modest all things considered.:D

We've got people coming for lunch tomorrow so I made the starter today. I made this:

    http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/old-school-chicken-liver-parfait

and also a smoked trout pate too. I got the smoked trout pate recipe from a mate's mum. He used to run a smoking shed as a part of his fish farm and they sold buckets of this stuff. It's wonderful and dead easy to make. A smoked trout, half a tub of creme fraiche, plenty of lemon juice, a little butter and plenty of seasoning especially black pepper.

The people coming over are Australian-Ukranian and I promised them a proper roast dinner. It'll be Australian-English so yorkies and roasties will be on the menu along with roast pumpkin, an Australian standard. We're having leg of lamb studded with garlic and rosemary.

Pudding is a French-style plum tart with sable pastry and frangipane.

The angels have got their dancing trousers out in readiness.

As the meal is in 14 hours and you're 21 hours away I suspect you'll miss it. If you're posting from HK or Singapore then got on a plane pronto.

Well I bought a 2.6kg (almost 6lb) leg of lamb so there will be seconds, even with me being a greedy [insert rude word of choice].

We're going to have proper ratatouille with it too. Proper rat has lavender in it, something every single English person leaves out of rat. English people also overcook rat every time I've ever had it. If you can learn to make good ratatouille you'll get the angels boogie-ing properly.
