Can't leave you lot alone for a minute.
Two days and you have a brand new multi-page, multi-multi-post NP thread going strong 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
Wow:T. I just couldn't have that level of commitment over the months. I will be doing a marathon of baking at the end of April for the annual charity teaparty, but 16 hours of baking and a load of washing up are not in the same league as pounding the streets for several hours week after week. Good luck to him.
I agree - I'm really proud of him, it's taken a great deal of self-discipline and effort, particularly given this winter's weather....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I did the 1st lecture quiz:
You submitted this quiz on Sat 15 Mar 2014 9:42 PM PDT. You got a score of 15.00 out of 15.00.
I'll do the reading quiz in the week.
I got 14 out of 15.
I'm happy to settle.
It seems week 2 is available (I got an email anyway...)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I can imagine - there's been days when the dog walking has been less than adequate!0 -
Basically we should posh alert this entire thread and be done with it.
Today, I finished emptying the compost heaps, and went to capel cottage nursery and bought plants.
Need to sow seeds soon...
I've planted nothing. Fortunately little needs doing (I did it in september) though grass does appear to need mowing...:o
Nikkster, a lovely weekend for the garden wasn't it! I read the top of your post, admired the daffs (thinking to self, lovely, she's picked some lovely flowers from the garden!) then scrolled down...:rotfl:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Oh, please tell me I'm not the only NP who thinks those chandeliers are vile things! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Interesting. I hadn't thought of that. Thanks. Being at 45k feet is a more hopeful reason for not being able to make mobile calls than most of the alternatives.
Another friend suspects some form of slow decompression, reslting again in unconciousness, under which circs the plane could have traveled for some hours.I've just booked my next appointment with the specialist. It's cheaper this time at $100 so I'll be just $15 out of pocket. Hopefully this time they'll know what it is so we can get on with fixing it.
I've had to come home because one of the Generalissimos is off sick. I came home and lay down for a moment and fell asleep for 2 hours! I think this might all be taking its toll a bit.
The closest thing I had to relate to it was when my dad was in intensive care in a coma for a few weeks. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I need to read the instruction manual as I'm clueless as to how it works.
I've never made ice cream but I still have an inkling that my life's calling should involve making and selling ice cream.
Nicked from elsewhere, I have an ice cream maker. It's great!
Ben & Jerrys did a cinammon oatmeal cookie style icecream that was absolutely amazing! they discontinued it, so I now try (only partially successfully) to recreate it.:o
I wish someone would invent a galaxy magnum maker too...;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
My parents have an ice cream maker. Sister #1 makes a butterscotch ice cream which is a miracle of wonderfulness - although I think you put on an inch on your hips just looking at it! My mother makes other fantastic concoctions with it, including a sloe and raspberry sorbet which is divine....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
