Help me, insurance cancelled because of proof of no claims oversite

Some insurers are very strict on proof of no claims. Several I know of do state that unless proof of no claims is received within 30 days then the policy will be cancelled as they want to verify you have the discount you claim you have.
It sounds like they have received the email with the attachment but unless you have told them your paticulars then how are they able to apply it to that policy?
Read your terms and conditions as they will state how long you have to provide it before the cancellation would occur0 -
I think its a non starter to be honest, you failed to check the email account, if it were me I would have emailed it and called a little later to make sure it had been received and t correct any errors there and then. Definitely complain but I dont like your chnaces.0

Phoned ombudsman and they sent a letter to car insurance provider. Got a call 2 weeks later offering to cancel all fees + withdraw any previously cancelled black mark. Got a letter from insurance company confirming cancellation was removed. I'm over the moon and have learned a valuable lesson, always check and double check important documents have been received and its always worth a try, even if the case seem hopeless.
And thanks to everyone for your help.Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
