Thanks Queenie!!
hi all!!
haven't read entire thread as it 9 pages!! but would love to start this. I was thinking of something similar to this as am trying to give up sweets and chocolates and thought I'd save the money not spent on them. This takes it a bit further.
off to add up my savings from last month......look after the pennies.....0 -
I have unstuck this thread as it can now be accessed through the Monthly Challenges IndexWhen life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt0

Because of the paydate for me and DH I have now finished the May pin money challenge in our house and am happy to say that I have saved £54.31. Earlier in the challenge I had expected to get to £60 - but I am still really pleased and have to say that my June pin challenge had a great start with £14 saved in one shopping trip. Yippee! The savings account that I have promised myself is going to be great.0

I've saved a huge £80 this month on one regularly bought item
Saved a virtual £19 with dh being more heavy handed with my wing mirror than I was prepared to be (somehow he has got it wedged back on so now I only have to spend £6 on the mirror itself) and saved about £8 using coupons.
So that's a massive £107!!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Snap! I've got my vinegar but am trying to use up the cleaners in my cupboard first. Lunch boxes can be a nightmare, especially where DH is concerned as he loves his crisps and chocolate biscuit bars. It's helped where Lidl is concerned as I can get 26 packets of crisps for £1.99 and 14 chocolate digestive bars for 99p and I'm encouraging the kids to take more fruit instead.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Have a look at the collections link in my signature and take a look at the recipes index, there is a link on there to a lunch box thread to give you ideas, i.e make you own breadsticks for snacks and bake your own cake or cookies (there is a recipe for fridge cookies on the recipe thread that you can make up a big batch once a month and cook as you need them, so you could put them in the oven with dinner the night before)
Also have a look at the indexed cleaning thread (in the collections link too) for advise on what to use as well as vinegar once you've used up all that 'flash'

if i've saved £7.02 in BOGOF items and put this money into a pot, does this class as my PMS money?
Also i''ve got some pinecone vouchers and also a 50p of Dove products so is £4.50 classed as vitual savings?
Sorry i'm good at viewing the challenges but when it comes down to actually doing it i get myself a bit confused0
