maybe someone could email the author and provide a view not expressed by the private parking firms or the AA.

Bloody hell I almost chocked on my toast reading that lol
BPA chief executive Patrick Troy says private car parking companies are considerate.

To many reports of fines and illegal parking, this falls within that, and it's a disappointment considering the BBC has run quite a few watchdog articles on them.

And OP can't see anything wrong with the AA advice, it's good to get photos, as it can be used to help in any action that is taken, and for complaints to various people. The pay by post is obviously one point that shouldn't influence decisions to pay or not.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

They are considerate to the BPA they pay them a membership fee!

Some of these journalists need to get off the PC and do some research.

Well that's what PT told him so it must be true.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Of course, inappropriate use of the "f" word, and a picture of a "Penalty Charge Notice" ticket envelope.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    Check Ramzan Karmali on Twitter.

If enough of us message him (politely) to check his facts and do more on this subject, we may well raise awareness of the truth, assuming he is interested in taking it further.

We also need to complain to the BBC about the bias and inaccuracies.

So just to confirm - the previous advice of "just ignore" unenforeceable invoices doesn't now apply? And if you do just ignore what's the likelyhood of the scammers taking you to court, and winning? I've read the Stickies etc.., but on the specific points mentioned here, maybe someone could summarise? Also, if an appeal is successful it seems some posters are suggesting a counter claim on the scammer for time wasted.

    (I haven't got a ticket myself)

Did you mean to post on this thread? I'm not sure your questions really relate to the article.
