Turunc is a lovely resort and if thats the total price for the package then it is pretty good. My only reservation would be that there might not be an awful lot for a teenager in Turunc. There are enough restaurants for you to be able to eat somewhere different most nights, but not much in the way of nightlife so it would depend on how lively you want it. The beach in turunc is mainly pebbles but is in a very beautiful bay and it's relatively easy to get into Icmeler and Marmaris during the day by water taxi, a normal taxi back at night would be around £15 from Icmeler and around £25 from marmaris though.

There are lots of 2 bedroom apartments around if you book the flights and accomm seperately. Try Travel Republic, Alpha Rooms or Sunshine.co.uk to see what they have on offer.

As one of the above posts says, do a search based on 5 or 6 people and it's more likely to show up the two bedroom apartments, then once you've found somewhere you can reprice it correctly for your party.

Try looking at Greece, plenty of two bed apartments on offer. I'd recommend Sidari, Benitses, Paleokastritsa, San Stefanos or Dassia in Corfu, Hersonissos, Gouves, Stalis or Elounda in Crete, Lindos , Pefkos or Ixia in Rhodes, Kalamaki or Argassi in Zante and Tingaki, Lambi or Kefalos in Kos as good options for families with teenagers.

  • If you know where you want to go then you can try and book an apartment independently. I've used airbnb for this. I booked an apartment in Barcelona over half term using them. 5 beds and only £80 a night. There were loads of apartments there, but not sure if that's the type of holiday you were looking for
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013

Is that price per person or for all 3 of them? It sounds very good value for a peak package if it's for all 3, but a rip-off if it's per person! (and way over the OP's budget)

That's the total price for all three, so well within the OP's budget. It does seem good value for those peak weeks.

In August 2012 I took my then 15 year old boy/girl twins to Paphos, Cyprus. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment and we had a brilliant time! The development was not huge but there were several teenagers staying and they all used to meet in the pool during the day and sit around it chatting at night.

    Would certainly recommend Paphos :D

Have always done hols with DD now 21. Decide where you want to go - investigate flight/transfer costs the look at direct rentals. The worst holiday we had was a thompsons where we paid load extra for add ons - etc and were in a Brits abroad holiday camp thing- cost was c£3500 for 2 weeks and it was dire!

What does your DD want to do? Ours was not interested in other children's hols - she was content with doing what we agreed between the 3 of us to do - hire a car, go different places - all take turns to choose etc. by the way she's not a drip - at 21 she is bright, confident, pleasantly assertive, money wise etc!!

Why do you need 2 bedrooms ? We've stayed in loads of lovely apartments where the third bed is a sofa bed and had no problems with that.

it comes down to preference really - my DD is 12 and we had a couple of nights last year in a one-bed apart before moving to 2-bed for the rest of our holiday - the 2-bed worked much much better, for all of us, and for a relaxing trip of over a week's duration that would be what I'd be looking for again. Either that or a hotel with interconnecting rooms.

Thank you to all that replied. My daughter is very tall 6' 1 and last year we had a problem with her sleeping on a sofa bed, so really don't want that for two weeks again. As you said balletshoes it works so much better with two rooms. We don't want the Brits abroad scenario and have to pay extra for the privilege, so will now look at private rentals as many of you have suggested. Liked the look of Place that you found fabsaver, but it's soooo hot in Turkey in Aug that hubby not keen to go there again at that time of year.
Maybe we are being very fussy but all we want is a two bed, basic, clean apartment with a good size pool, near to a beach and not too noisy!
Will keep looking and let you know what we decide upon!

We love javea in the costa blanca but you would need to hire a car to get there as it's about 90 minutes from either Alicante or Valencia airports. Once you get there you can manage without a car if you get somewhere near the beach/shops so you could get a transfer but it would cost about 80 euros each way.

I would look at private apartments and villas, or use a villa company. Then book flights direct. Then youll find it much easier to find 2 beds.
