My TT essentials is now £ 7.50 p/m plus line rental, my line rental is due for renewal soon and I see that TT have a new product 'simply broadband' which seems to be the same package but £ 2.50 p/m. How would I go about moving over to this, can I even do so as an existing customer?

But give a man a fishing rod, and he'll sell it and buy alcohol.

You won't be able to downgrade from Essentials without paying an ETC if you are still in your minimum term.
Otherwise you can do it online or by calling TT.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hello. I did this by phoning TT. I recommend you call their loyalty/retention team. You will have to start a new 12 month contract. When I did this their process resulted in my being sent a new router too!
I somehow doubt they would levy an ETC for a tariff change, but I was out of my contract term when I downgraded.0
