I frequently do deals with power sellers with enormous volumes of sales with 100% feedback. I get in touch and ask them their best price for collect it now if we forget about ebay - because I know the rates are extortionate, I always collect these transactions in person, and I trust the seller due to the big reputation they already have - they're obviously a business not a con man making a quick buck.
OK - I await the nay sayers response "but it's illegal" and it probably is - but 10% on any given value is also ridiculous. Far better to split down the middle. I get a better deal, my seller also gets a better deal, and it's good use of initiative in my opinion.
I do add note of caution - you have to be a good quick judge of character when you meet the seller, but I've not been burned once to date - and in my experience, you say that to a seller,especially if you have calculated exactly where the middle is, then you get that price.0 -
Chose the option to "pay for goods and services", then just add what the item is in the description with a link to the ebay page if possible.0
