Parking eye LBCCC

Sorry to post ANOTHER thread about this but I'm a mother of 3 small children (1 baby) also dealing with some other big family problems so please forgive me for contacting you, my head is about to explode and I can't keep going round in circles reading threads about this, sorry on the verge of just giving up as everything is overwhelming.....

I received a PCN from parking eye back in January when I overstayed by 30 minutes after spending a fair bit of money with my mum in several shops adjacent to the car park, then needing to change and breastfeed my 5 month old, but unfortunately only found old advice about ignoring the letters (also had heard the same thing on watchdog), so ignored the first two letters requesting payment, but have now received a LBCCC today prompting me to look again, and am now freaking out as realised the advice I followed was outdated. Please can you point me in the right direction as to what to do now? Obviously I have missed their appeals timeframe, but don't know which thread will tell me step by step what to now do, with a template letter as I haven't got the will or time to produce my own letter.

Or shall I just pay the stupid 'fine'?

Please help or tell me where to get concise 'idiot proof' help, in tears and not coping as it is so please make this painless for a stressed out, over emotional mum!

Please read the NEWBIES sticky thread. That gives the lowdown on all things PCN.

Of course, COMPLAIN to the store(s) in which you spent lots of money and DEMAND that they get this PCN cancelled.

PS - I'd be surprised if it's actually an LBCCC this quickly for a January PCN.

Where in the country was this "offence"?

if this only happened in jan 2014 I cannot see there being an LBCCC so soon as there is a due process to follow

this NEWBIES thread tells you all about what to do and when https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 and is the latest advice

this thread deals with any LBCCC https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4754020

  • I have read those but as I said I can't see the 'wood through the trees' in between screaming baby, toddler tantrum and dad in hospital I just need someone to tell me what to do right now, just the first step. I'm past the appeal deadline so do I still send the template appeal letter?
  • Oh, I'm in kent.

First things first - is the letter itself titled as a Letter Before County Court Claim?

the template letter in the newbies thread is for challenging the invoice, not an LBCC

the info in the solicitors letters link (lazydaisy) is for an LBCCC and we dont believe you have an LBCCC as its only 2 months ago when you say the NTK arrived

nobody can advise you with so little to go on, also because only you have read the paperwork so far
  • Yes, it starts Dear Sir/ Madam
LETTER BEFORE COUNTY COURT CLAIM (all in caps)

Parking eye car park management at the top.
I threw the original 2 invoices away (because of old advice I'd read).
  • Is there a way I can scan it in to show you? It's double sided a4 so don't fancy typing it all up!?

Scan it and upload to an image hosting site, like Photobucket, Tinypic, Postimg etc. Make sure you redact any personal or identifiable info.

Then post broken links in a reply here. Example ...

(The above is a made up link purely to show an example. It does NOT lead to a real image).
