A bank handed over money on the strength of a non-photo driving license and no other ID, without a bank card? Really? And is now refusing to refund?
Sneer all you like, you're being taken for a ride. It's just nonsense. For example "at the moment, we know dont know much as the bank will not give out any info due to DP". There is no data protection issue with regard to discussion about your own account. A driving license counterpart says on both sides that it's a counterpart, not a license. To have a non-photo driving license your "young" friend must be in his mid-30s, and not have moved house for the past fifteen years. And no bank would open an account without photo ID, never mind pay out.
Anyway, enjoy your fantasy.0 -
Security guy....do you ever read things properly, or do you just add whatever you want.. Its people like you who start vicious rumors about people based on a few words then you make the rest up.
Where did you get your information about the bank not paying out. ?
I have never asked about the bank paying out. or not.....Just for you, Our main concern is getting this stopped , so it does not hed.appen again and apprehending the persons involved. I was looking for advice on what to do to acheive...At no point was money mentioned. SO please keep to facts if you insist on keeping replying.
You state no bank would open an account with no photo....I opened an account in a different name to myself, without problems. I have also taken a large sum out of one of my isas, with nothing on me for that account, just gave them my debit card to authenticate myself.
You obviously think banks and their staff do no wrong0 -

Close the account, and reopen a new one somewhere else?! If you close the account, there is no way they can withdraw money from it.0
