That actually looks like a much better system than Hive.

It doesn't appear to have a manual stat of any kind?.

I'm not sure what it means by different users, a programmable stat can surely only work for one person at a time, although I've never tested it all my family have the hive app on their phones and can all alter it if they want.

Just thinking out loud - what is the early termination charge if you move to another supplier after the HIVE is fitted?

£30 per fuel so it would be £60 plus the higher charges you will pay for your energy until your move to another supplier is completed so for average use it should cost you less than £100 provided they fit it when you take this tarif and not a few months down the line.

Seriously tempted to get the Tado system and rent it for £6.99/mth with the money back guarantee (not sure how I could prove it hadn't saved me £10/mth though lol). 10% off through Quidco as well....
    Rent

In total £120.00 / year savings guaranteed or your money back.
    £6.99 / month tado° fee
    -£10.00 monthly savings guaranteed
    =0.00 risk
Monthly fees will be charged anually in one amount (12 months x £6.99 = £83.88) In case you have not saved at least £120.00 on heating costs after the first year, we will refund you all costs incurred during the last 12 months. No questions asked.

Could be beneficial taking the tariff out then switching to a cheaper BG tariff as they dont charge cancellation fees that way?
