There was a video on Youtube which opened up some cheap, non-CE type GU10s, after seeing it and how dangerous they were I'd make sure I got some reasonable quality, CE approved units.

Yeah be careful as some GU10's from China are incredibly unsafe (I know, I know, before the pedants respond saying everything is made in China and some is excellent but some is a death trap :D ) and remember Chinese are good at marking things with CE and other approval stamps but it can be faked easily (anyone can print CE on a product for example!)

Interesting video on some of the LED GU10's to avoid.

I've been buying some lately from Home Bargains. Ecolight is the brand, £2.99 each. First load were fine, but the second few I bought there is one with loose glass on it, the glass circle has come out. I should be returning it but can't find the receipt. I'm a bit wary of going in without a receipt in case they think I'm a shoplifter :rotfl:

BTW, I bought an LED R63 bulb of ebay, and thought the screw fitting matched (E27) the bulb itself was not an R63. I used it anyway, but when I got a real R63 I went to unscrew the ebay LED one and it came apart.
